If you work in the ag sector, you know one of the biggest topics at the moment is biosecurity – supermarket egg shelves are empty, the US is exiting WHO and H5N1 is practically on Australia’s doorstep. It’s a big topic that needs a lot of focus and conversation, from the farmgate to the boardroom, to make sure we are prepared.
Our client ExoFlare is a leader in this space. Their biosecurity threat management platform provides real-time biosecurity risk assessments across multiple threat vectors to the people who need them, for better threat management and response.
They recognise that more conversations and education needs to be had with industry, and the entire supply chain on this topic. Any incursion will threaten not only our food and fibre security but will impact business continuity and market access.
ExoFlare joined up with Agribusiness Australia to facilitate a series of biosecurity roadshows across the country, encouraging key industry leaders to unpack the risks, opportunities, and challenges shaping this critical issue – and explore how biosecurity could impact business bottom lines nationwide.
The first event was held last month in Sydney at CommBank, with ExoFlare CEO Adrian Turner joined on a panel by Cathy Harris, Chairperson of Harris Farm Markets, and Joseph Bruzzese from CBA’s Agribusiness Specialisation Team. One of the key takeaways was how biosecurity is as much about resilience as it is about keeping threats out, because we can’t and won’t always be able to keep them out. Getting a sector back up and running quickly can mean literally hundreds of millions of dollars saved.
We supported ExoFlare to make the most out of this opportunity, ensuring their key spokesperson and other panellists were prepared with targeted Q&As and talking points, that their brand was front and centre at the event, and that the key people from industry who needed to be in the room, were there.
Events like these are important to get right – to not only demonstrate your brand credibility, but to also elevate your key leaders as experts in their field. We wanted to show that ExoFlare are facilitating and contributing to these important discussions around biosecurity, and are not just another start-up app.
Stay tuned for the remaining roadshows to be held in VIC, QLD, SA and WA, and if you need any help with getting the most out of your event for not only your brand, but your leadership, contact us at [email protected]
