This month has seen the HC team getting out and about more, to industry events, field days and networking lunches, and boy is it great.
You don’t realise how good it is to be out and on the ground until you’re back in the swing of it. It’s so valuable to be meeting with clients face to face, heading to the offices and meeting over lunches rather than Teams meetings over bad internet connections (much as we love the convenience of the video call).
This month, HC has been lucky to attend a number of events supporting Western Sydney, including Western Sydney Business Connection’s Business Leader Luncheon and the City of Parramatta’s Celebrating Women in Business Breakfast. We’ve been based in our Parramatta office now for two and a half years, but the pandemic has made it tricky to get out and meet our fellow business community members, so it’s been great to connect and discuss the opportunities that are brimming in Western Sydney.
We’ve also been able to get out to the regions as well, with Alex heading to the Farm World field days in Gippsland, Victoria at the end of March to gather content for our client CommBank at their various customer events and activities. Farm World was the first ever field day Alex went to as a young Account Executive many years ago! So, she’s looking forward to being on the ground again, eating a steak sandwich and getting out from behind the desk and into the regions.
We’re also looking forward to heading down to Diesel, Dirt and Turf in April, which is right on our doorstep. A few of our construction and industrial clients are exhibiting, which gives us a good chance to meet with their wider teams and see what the feel is with their customers on the ground.
As borders open up and restrictions have eased, we’re hoping the rest of the year will see us out and about even more, at events, travelling to see our interstate clients, and meeting with new and interesting connections wherever we can!
Where are you going this year?
